  • Earned Income Tax Credit

    The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is America’s largest anti-poverty program. A refundable tax credit for low to moderate-income working individuals, the EITC can increase a family’s annual income by over $5,000. The EITC reduces the tax burden on workers, supplements their wages, and helps families pay bills or save for the future.

  • Grants support financial stability work in American Street area

    The Neighborhood Funding Stream of the American Street Empowerment Zone, administered by United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Commerce Department, will award grants to projects in which modest funds can make a noticeable difference in the community and achieve tangible and quantifiable positive outcomes for American St. Empowerment Zone families.
